Personally, while growing up, I heard a lot; “egg makes you fat”, “egg adds too much cholesterol to your body”, “egg yolk is healthier than egg white”, “egg white is more nutritious than the egg” and so on. It is that time of the week when we get to share amazing food tips with you. This week we will be discussing the health benefit of one underrated vegetable which doubles as a super food “UGWU”. For starters, “UGWU” is referred to as “pumpkin leaf” in English and it contains a whole lot of nutrients. It is rich in Calcium, Iron, Potassium, Magnesium, Folate, Protein and is also a good source of Vitamins A, B6 and C amongst other nutrients. Also, ugwu ranks high on the satiety.
